About the Practice Session
Suryanamaskar - or Surya Upasana - has become an integral part of the Asana practice in various Yoga traditions. The session will focus on understanding the origins, relevance and importance of Suryanamaskars. We will delve into the meaning of Surya Mantras and it’s relationship with our daily life. We will use the Ashtanga Tradition Suryanamaskar (both A and B) as the theme to navigate through various aspects of Suryanamaskars.
About the Speaker
Nitesh has been a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga since 2009 under the tutelage of his guru Sri Sharath Jois. He is the founder of Ashtanga Yoga Sadhna, Bengaluru and The Mindful Initiatives. He teaches contemplative practices like Mindfulness and Compassion in Higher Education and Organizations.
