Day 13 Session 03: A Talk On Bhagavadgita: The Yoga Book Par Excellence by Narayana

About the Talk

The Bhagavad Gita has the word YOGA in all its 18 chapters. It is the Yoga book par excellence. It leads Arjuna from indecision and doubt to determination. In the beginning he drops his bow. At the end he is called Dhanurdhara, holder of the bow. His dharma or his social duty is to kill the enemy without hesitation. But he knows in all actions he has to take his Yoga all the time with him, or as Krishna puts it, he has to do his Svadharma, his own dharma or the dharma of the Self. He knows what to do and how to do it and he does it as Krishna told him. This talk will explore the why Gita is the text of Yoga.
