Dialogue On Yoga & Mystical Traditions of the World

There are many different spiritual and mystical traditions, with many approaches to obtain yoga (union) with the divine. While the approaches may be different, the goal is ultimately the same. In this session we will be exploring the ways in which different lineages and traditions aspire towards this union, and any personal experiences that the presenters may have.

Our Panelists for the Dialogue are:

Rabbi Rami Shapiro

Rabbi Rami Shapiro, PH.D., is an award–winning author of over thirty-six books on religion and spirituality. Rami co-directs the One River Foundation (www.oneriverfoundation.org), is a Contributing Editor of Spirituality and Health magazine, and hosts two podcasts: Essential Conversations with Rabbi Rami (spiritualityhealth.com) and Conversations on the Edge (oneriverfoundation.org). 


Sraddhalu Ranade 

Sraddhalu Ranade is a scientist, educator and scholar at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, India. He seamlessly integrates modern scientific knowledge with philosophical, metaphysical and spiritual knowledge. He has also been involved in media development including television programming, software development and hardware design for over 25 years. His workshops on Integral Education have benefited thousands of teachers across the world.


Ayca Gurelman

Ayca Gurelman has been practicing yoga, meditation and philosophy for 20+ years. She founded Istanbul Yoga Center 10 years ago, and the Purnam publishing 9 years ago. Purnam is the 1st publishing house specialized in yoga practices and philosophy.

She authored 1 vegetarian cook book, co-authored 3 yoga therapy/practice books. authored 1 meditation CD; translated 12 yoga philosophy books. She started the first yoga mobile app in turkish language - name Evde Yoga (yoga at home) on 5th IDAY yoga.

She has been organising free yoga classes for public with volunteered instructors in municipality building for 4 years. She has been active on youtube channel since covid pandemic started. She conducts 3 live sessions every week, philosophy on mondays, meditation on wednesdays and vegetarian cooking on fridays. www.youtube.com/yogainstitute

Lama Palden Drolma

Lama Palden Drolma is the founder and spiritual director of Sukhasiddhi Foundation. Following her traditional Tibetan Buddhist three-year retreat under Kalu Rinpoche in 1986 she became one of the first Western women to be authorized as a lama in the Vajrayana tradition. Lama Palden also studied with many of the Tibetan masters from all lineages, and has a lifelong interest in inter-spirituality. Lama Palden transmits, trains and mentors students, passing on the profound and precious teachings and practices that enable one to reach full and complete awakening in this life. She is also the author of Love On Every Breath.
