About the Session

Food is the single most important factor determining health and disease. Thus, it is extremely important to understand the general principles of healthy eating. Further, Yogic illustration of the food habits are probably the best possible methods of moulding the body and mind from Tamas to Satva. Thus, in this session, Dr. Apar Saoji, would typically explore the WH questions about food with a special emphasis of dietary habits.

About  the Presenter

Apar Avinash Saoji is a gold medalist and University topper when he pursued his Bachelors in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) from the prestigious SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (SDMCNYS), Ujire. He has done his doctoral work on the Psychophysiology of Yogic Breath Retention (Kumbhaka) from S-VYASA University, Bengaluru. He has worked as Technical Consultant at the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune before following his passion for teaching and research at SDMCNYS and S-VYASA. He currently works at S-VYASA as the Deputy Director (Academics) for the School of Yoga and Naturopathic Medicine. He is also entrusted to head the MD program at S-VYASA. He has 12 peer-reviewed publications and several presentations at national and international conferences. His research interest includes the application of Yoga and Naturopathy in Health and Disease and understanding the underlying mechanisms involved. He has visited Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands and Austria for propagating Yoga and Naturopathy. He is a recipient of three gold medals and Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Pattabhisheka Award, Sitaram Jindal Award for academic excellence.
