Bhagavad Gita verse 6.46 says "A Yogi is better than ascetics, better than scholars and better than people of deeds. Therefore, become a Yogi, Arjuna." Who is a Yogi? Why is a Yogi better than so many other people? How can we become a Yogi? In this talk, we will try to understand these from the life and teachings of the great Yogi, Swami Vivekananda.
About the Presenter
Gokulmuthu Narayanaswamy has a passion for philosophy and religion. He has been studying and teaching Indian Philosophy, Vedanta, Hinduism, Indian Culture, Gita, Vivekananda, etc. for the past 25 years. He was instrumental in starting Vivekananda Study Circle at IIT Madras. He is the founder and mentor of Vivekananda Study Circle at IISc Bangalore. He is a mentor of Vivekananda Yuvaka Sangha at Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor, Bangalore. He conducts classes for children, youth and professionals on Vedanta, Hinduism, Gita and Vivekananda. He contributes articles and book reviews regularly for Vedanta Kesari, a monthly magazine published by Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. He has published a few small books some of which have been printed and some have been published online on Amazon.

He holds B.Tech from IIT Madras, M.Sc (Engg) by Research from IISc Bangalore and M.A in Philosophy, Religion and Culture from Annamalai University.
